Also discovered on the Henry Rollins radio program, this excellent 70’s style psychedelic hard rock band from Japan (I don’t know why there is a minute of people talking at the end of it, and if that’s a part of the original song).
Marnie Stern - For Ash
Awesome noise rock type of music by Marnie Stern, discovered while listening to Henry Rollins on the radio. It has Zach Hill from Hella on drums too.

Probably my favorite song of the new Hospitality record.
Harvey Milk - Lay my head down
This is what happens when an awesome sludge/ doom metal band plays the blues. Great track of their The Pleaser album.
Secret Cities - Slacker
Wow, I just heard this song for the first time a couple of minutes ago, and I’m impressed. I needed this dreamy indie folk after a day filled with metal music.
Feist - There’s A Limit To Your Love
Metals is the latest album by Feist, and it’s really great, one of my 2011 favorites. I decided to check out her previous album and it featured this song, which sounded very familiar. It was a pretty big hit for James Blake, so I was surprised that it was a cover by him, even the piano chords are the same. Doesn’t matter though, both versions are great.

Eagle Twin - In the Beginning was the Scream
One of the heaviest songs I’ve listen to in a long time. Was to lazy to show op early for a Sunn 0))) show to see their whole opening set, but I’m really liking The Unkindness of Crows right now.
